Function Rooms


The Burgess Hall comprises of several room options for your function so you are sure to find one that best suits your requirements.  For larger events you can exclusively hire the whole building to ensure you maximise every space available.

 

FOYER

Upon entering the Burgess Hall you will come into a large reception / foyer area.  This is an ideal space to welcome your guests upon their arriv​al with tea and coffees and lends itself very well to being a visitorregistration area.  For larger exhibitions this is also a great location for additional stands which everyone is sure to walk past.  Cloakroom facilities can also be provide from this area if required.

 

MAIN HALL

The fully air conditioned main hall is highly versatile.  Ideal for large numbers it is able to seat up to 500 theatre style, accommodate 350 for dining or an excellent space for exhibition stands.  The main floor can be divided from the under-balcony area via optional curtained surroundings.


The main stage acts as a great focal point for any conference or event, with additional staging available if required.  The stage can be set with a large 12ft projector screen, with optional drop down 9ft ceiling mounted screens with projectors either side of the stage.


Full PA and professional lighting systems available, with optional moving spotlights for that extra special effect, ideal for awards ceremonies.  Full technician support can be provided.


There is a large private bar available under the balcony area with full catering facilities available (see menus).   There is also an outdoor patio area available accessed from underneath the balcony.


DRAMA STUDIO

This is a large black theatre which can act as an excellent secondary hall for those large events.  Suited for additional workshops or exhibitor space, with its own sound and lighting systems if required.


BALCONY (TOP FLOOR)

An additional balcony area overlooking the Burgess Hall is available with its own private bar.  This space is ideal for workshops, breakaway areas or additional exhibitor space.

COMMITTEE SUITE (TOP FLOOR)

A smaller meeting room accessed via the balcony which can be divided into two smaller rooms with the soundproof partitioning.  Full blackout is available as well as ceiling mounted projector and screen.

BOARDROOM (TOP FLOOR)

The Boardroom is excellent for up to 12 people, with a wall mounted 42 inch flat screen TV available to link to through your laptop.

The flexibility of the room layouts mean you can set them however you wish to suit your needs.  If you have a specific layout you require for an event, please let us know a​nd we be pleased to provide a floor plan for the event.
