An Evening with Geoffrey Boycott: Boycott's 100th Hundred
Tuesday 10th October
Doors 6.45pm / Show 7.30pm / End 9.50pm
Tickets £25 per person

SPORT 11th August 1977, Headingley. With a century in each of his two recent first class matches, one on his recall to the England side and the other for Yorkshire, the stage was set for a fairytale finale. Could Boycott record his 100th hundred in front of his adoring home county crowd?

Well, you know the answer and Geoffrey will be sharing some unseen footage from the BBC archives and some rare photographs from his private collection in this brand new show.

The ‘Greatest Living Yorkshireman’ will say exactly what he thinks (what else?) about the current state of cricket and many other subjects he has hit out on in his latest autobiography, on air and in print. The show is peppered with hilarious anecdotes; there will be an opportunity for the audience to put their own questions and the evening will be fun, fiery and full of surprises!

The event is being run in aid of the Professional Cricketers’ Association and we are raising money which will go to the organisation’s Benevolent Fund.

“If you take all the people I have worked with, Boycott is a mile ahead of any of them, he really is. I rate him that highly. His content is flawless.”
Jack Bannister, ex-cricketer and TMS commentator

“It’s lucky he wasn’t a politician otherwise he might have blown up the world!”
Malcolm Tate, childhood friend of Geoffrey Boycott

Bikeology
Wednesday 22nd November
Doors 7pm / Show 7.30pm / End 9.30pm
Tickets £20 per person

British Cycling has seen more drama in the past year than your average soap opera…

SO journalist, television presenter and best-selling author Ned Boulting is back this Autumn with his acclaimed sell out ride through the world of Bikeology, featuring brand new tales from life in the cycling lane, as well as the inside scoop from his time at the 2017 Tour de France.

What drives the cyclist (apart from a sturdy, well-oiled chain) to such ecstasies of endurance? What curious, deep-rooted passions are aroused by the sight of a simple pair of padded shorts? And what on earth is a derailleur?

From the humble commuter to the winner of the Tour de France*, Boulting takes an off-centre look at what it means to ride a bike, drawing on his own underwhelming adventures in the saddle to his fourteen summers spent hurtling around France in pursuit of the sport’s biggest names including no less than Cavendish, Wiggins, Froome and of course Armstrong.

A breakneck descent through the history of the ever popular sport followed by a lung-bursting climb into the present day - all two-wheeled life is here. Keep your wits about you, as you might find yourself up on stage to compete in Ned’s search for the nation’s Number 1 Bikeologist!

He didn’t know where it had come from or who it belonged to. The penguin looked sad and the boy thought it must be lost. So he decided to help it find its way home, even if that meant rowing all the way to the South Pole.

This funny, charming tale of friendship is the perfect treat for a younger audience. Brought to life with puppetry, songs and music, this fantastic new show is suitable for ages 3+ and their grown-ups.
