Baby & Toddler Lessons

It is never too early to learn to swim.  The Swim4Life scheme at One Leisure introduces babies and toddlers to water at an early age.  Our fully qualified swim teachers will help enable the development and progression of your child’s swimming ability at their own pace. Parents must accompany their child in the water.

The Swim4Life scheme offers:

  • ASA qualified teachers

  • A continuous scheme which runs 50 weeks a year to improve child’s progress

  • The ability to view weekly teacher reports using Swim4Life Online

  • Swimmers can progress as soon as the required level is achieved (no re-enrolment process)

  • Pay monthly by Direct Debit

  • No additional charge for badges or certificates

These lessons are designed to introduce babies and toddlers to aquatic activities. Classes involve a selection of skills such as movement of arms and legs, rolling from front to back, blowing bubbles, floating and submerging.

To improve the continuity of your child’s swimming lessons we run 50 weeks per year which include the Easter and summer holidays. There will be a two week break in swimming lessons over the Christmas holidays.

The benefits of continuous swimming lessons include:

  • Swimming is taught by repetition therefore no interruption of the child’s classes throughout the year enhances the learning process.

  • A child who has swimming lessons all year round will receive 25 hours of instructed swimming.

  • To maintain the level of skills and fitness of your child.

  • The more water access your child gains throughout the year, the better water skills and development they will have. Weekly exercise also sets good habits for later in life.
