Short tennis is an easy and fun way to get into playing racquet sports. It is a great way for children and adults alike to keep fit and have fun. The pace is slower than standard tennis and you can work on your technique and build confidence up over time, at a gentler speed.
One off-peak racket session per day is included in our One Diamond and One Platinum memberships - all other bookings can be paid for on a pay as you play basis.
Short tennis must be pre-booked before attending the centre. You can book up to 7 days in advance online or via the One Leisure app. Short tennis is available at all One Leisure centres (except St Ives Outdoor Centre) and is held in the sports hall unless otherwise stated

Court bookings need to be made in advance.
All children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
Court Cancellations - Any necessary court cancellations must be made with more than 24 hours’ notice prior to the court booking time. Cancellations made within 24 hours are not eligible for any refunds.
