Whether you're hosting an intimate meeting for 10 or a large-scale event for 500 guests, our team delivers seamless, memorable experiences for conferences, exhibitions, corporate meetings, and business celebrations. Just 20 minutes from Cambridge, with free parking and excellent transport links, our fully air-conditioned venue offers 11,000 sq ft across four event spaces, licensed bars, on-site catering, a raised stage, sound and lighting, plus roof-mounted screens and projectors.

Burgess Hall offers a variety of rooms to suit your event, ensuring you find the perfect space for your needs. For larger gatherings, you can exclusively hire the entire venue, making full use of every available area. 

Upon arrival, guests will enter a spacious reception foyer, an ideal setting for welcoming attendees, a convenient registration area or an extension for exhibitions, ensuring high visibility for additional stands. Cloakroom facilities can be arranged upon request. 

The fully air-conditioned Main Hall is designed for flexibility, accommodating up to: 

  • 500 guests in a theatre-style setup
  • 350 guests for dining 
  • A large number of exhibitions stands 

For adaptable use, the under-balcony area can be partitioned with optional curtains. The main stage serves as a striking focal point for conferences and events, with additional staging available if needed. It is equipped with a 12ft projector screen and optional drop-down 9ft screens with projectors on either side. A full PA system and professional lighting, including optional moving spotlights, create a dynamic atmosphere—perfect for award ceremonies and special presentations. Enhanced technical support is available upon request to ensure seamless execution. 

We offer a variety of additional rooms across the venue to provide versatility for larger events. These spaces can be adapted for exhibitions, presentations, breakout sessions or smaller group meetings away from the office.

Located on the first floor, the Drama Theatre sits adjacent to the Main Hall and Foyer, providing an excellent space for performance, talks or presentations. A feature spiral staircase leads to the Balcony area overlooking the main hall. From the balcony, you have access to both the Boardroom - perfect for more intimate meetings - and the Committee Suite, offering further flexible space.

Our versatile catering options are designed to suit every occasion, from intimate business meetings to large-scale exhibitions and elegant gala dinners.
