Swimming pools

Swimming pools are available at our four main leisure centres in Huntingdon, Ramsey, St Ives and St Neots with each centre running their own local timetable. Swimming is included in our One Platinum and One Diamond memberships, and we also have a One Swim membership as well.

Pre-booking is not available for Public Swim sessions, Floats Fun and Family Fun sessions, just turn up on the day and pay at reception.

If the session is full, swimmers will be restricted to 45 minute sessions.  After the 45 minutes is completed, swimmers will be asked to leave the pool so that those waiting can enter.

The safety of our customers and staff has always been our priority.  We have continued to follow government advice and guidelines and worked very closely with industry governing bodies - UK Active and Swim England to ensure our facilities are safe for all our customers.

Inflatable sessions at One Leisure Ramsey and inflatable parties are only for over 8's who can swim 50m+ confidently. Swim tests will be required if lifeguards feel necessary.

National Pool Lifeguard Qualification

The NPLQ is the leading Lifeguard qualification, regulated by the Royal Lifesaving Society UK.  It is designed to equip candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure the safety of swimmers in the pool environment.

The course covers essential topics such as pool rescue techniques, lifeguard theory, first aid, CPR and hazard recognition.

Candidates must be 16 years of age at the time of the course and complete a swimming proficiency test prior to booking on to the course.

The NPLQ opens doors to various roles within the leisure industry from pool lifeguard to management positions.  Many leisure managers begin their career as lifeguards, and the qualification is recognised internationally, allowing for opportunities abroad.

Cost of the full course and assessment is £285.50
